Bentley's First Easter

There were no Easter baskets or hidden eggs (next year), but there was a cute little girl in a cute new Easter outfit.

Spring In Colorado

Welcome to spring in Colorado! We have had more snow in the month of April than we have had all year. It hasn't stopped snowing in the last 36 hours and it is still snowing. When the rest of the nation's tulips are popping, the grass is turning green, and the birds are singing their spring songs, we are digging out from being in buried in snow. And next week it is supposed to be in the 80's. That's the beauty of Colorado!

DU Hockey

Bentley attended her first sporting event last night...University of Denver vs. Colorado College hockey...HUGE rival! Our babysitter fell through, so I decided to take her with us. I figured it is pretty loud at a hockey game, so if she started crying, she wouldn't be bothering anyone. Upon entering the arena she fell silent and was entranced with the action on the ice. She even let out a little wimper when a fight broke out :) Although we ended up tying, it was a great game and I think Bentley thoroughly enjoyed it as well. Now onto baseball season...

She even managed to take a little catnap

Bentley's Blessing

Our beautiful Bentley was blessed last Sunday on March 1st. We opted to do it at my parents home in a comfortable setting for all. My brother-in-law blessed her and several close family friends that I have known since I was a baby were part of the circle. It was a beautiful blessing and she was a perfect angel through the entire blessing!
On a side note, the blessing gown that she was wearing was made by my great grandmother on my father's side. She made it for my grandfather's blessing in 1910. My grandfather, father, all the Murphy children and grandchildren have been blessed in it. At almost 100 years old, it is still holding together. And the blanket she was wrapped in was made in Bethlehem. I bought it while I was living in Isreal.

My Little Valentine

Bentley took her first trip over Valentine's weekend. We went to Salt Lake to visit friends and to meet her first love, Murphy Dunn. I was a little nervous for the flight considering Bentley has colic and will burst out crying without a moments notice, but fortunately, she did great both going and coming. Not a peep!! First trip down, many more to come.

We had a great weekend starting with dinner with DC friends: Cherstyn, Jill, Julianna and her baby Louie (another one of Bentley's boyfriends). It was great to catch up with them as I have not seen them since I was 6 months pregnant.

The rest of the weekend was spent with Lesley, Murphy, Emily and Nancy. We shopped, ate, saw a movie, ate, did Valentine's crafts, ate, visited Grandma and Grandpa Johnson, and of course...ate some more. All in all, it was a great weekend spent with great friends.
